Sunday morning, sun is shining, and one thought in mind: brunch. Such a simple word, yet restaurant after restaurant gets it wrong. L’Eclair gets brunch. And they get it right. Located on Rue Cler, one of the few pedestrian streets left in Paris, is the cozy-looking café L’Eclair. Their Sunday brunch is 18€ and includes enough food for three people. The homey atmosphere makes you want to stay all day and chit-chat with friends. The staff is friendly (yes, that’s right, French waiters that are friendly, sold yet?). The food is good and you can stay all day enjoying the sun without getting the stank eye from the server hinting that you should leave so he can go on his break to smoke his cigarette. L’Eclair is a relaxed place for friends to hangout, have good food and enjoy everyone’s guilty pleasure, great people watching.
Brunch comes with a huge basket of freshly baked goodies, each one more delicious than the next.
A selection of drinks, hot and cold. The orange juice is actually fresh and the hot chocolate reminds me of Christmas sitting by a fire, and by fire I mean sitting next to my heater trying to remember why I am freezing in Paris and my entire family is at the beach in Miami.
The option of eggs isn’t very thrilling but the basket of heaven mentioned before makes up for it.
L’Eclair also features a large cocktail menu. Stay posted for more info on their drinks.
