The Diner is a new restaurant right off rue Cler in the Paris 7th arrondissement.. This is one of my favorite new places because a) the food is bomb and b) the waiter is pretty damn fine. You are probably thinking, “how am I going to know which waiter she is completely obsessed with?” Well, it’s the one with the blue eyes. The one that makes every girl swoon, kids laugh, and straight men blush. Seems perfect? Unfortunately I am not the only one pining for his attention. Apparently this isn’t Paris’s best kept secret because the entire restaurant is filled with girls looking pretty well done for a burger (pun intended). Enough about my hormonal activity, let’s talk food.
The Dinner’s menu has a nice variety and twist to an American diner, they serve all things burger, salad and have breakfast all day. The burgers are a good size and the French fries have just the right amount of salt (very important in determining the difference between good and bad fries). The salads are more American style, which is refreshing because French salads suck.
They also serve bagel sandwiches, which is just a trendier way of eating a sandwich. They have just the right amount of cream cheese to salmon ratio.
The eggs Benedict are decent for Paris and fill that crave when you want breakfast for dinner (beware the hollandaise sauce is very thick).
I have tasted most of the burgers (I will not admit how many it’s embarrassing). Each one was better than the next, and the buns are very tasty.
For dessert I have only tasted the Oreo cheesecake and the sweet burger. The Sweet burger is a nutella and banana filled burger (no meat for you vegetarians out there). The Oreo cheesecake is really good, but it’s not home made because I have had the exact same cheesecake at two other restaurants in Paris.
The Diner is a great place to go any time of the day, they also have delicious cocktails, and like I mentioned before great eye candy.
